Prototype
radio/GPS setup.
On the left mount for GPS III, or V style
Garmin units. GPS III+ and GPS V used.
On the right YaesuVX-5R and Pryme Speaker
mike.
Below shelf: three auxiliary power sockets.
One is dedicated to the radio via a Radio Shack switched 12v adapter
plug. One is for charging the phone and one is spare.
The GPS is wired directly to the BMW
auxiliary plug.

In preparation for a mobile radio rather than an HT,
and for ease of use I checked out the parts the CHP use for their radios
on the BMW R1100-RTP.
This is one of their PTT switches and
mounting brackets. All told about $40 - expensive, but fits perfectly.
Obtained from Diablo Kawasaki BMW in Walnut Creek.
