We need 60+ Emergency Service personnel to work in areas
of Communications, Strike Teams, Transportation, etc.
Amateur Radio Operators are needed for Net Control, shadows

bike mobiles, fixed posts, APRS, etc.
Run by RhodyCo Productions
the ride starts at Sequoia High in Redwood City, winds
through San Carlos, Belmont, San Mateo, Sawyer Camp Trail
in the watershed, Millbrae, and back to Sequoia High via
Hillsborough, San Mateo, Belmont, and San Carlos. This
is quite a ride through urban centers and wilderness.

If you are interested in working this event, please point
your browser to enter your name on our
On-line form. We will probably need to start early,
say 6am, but I will let you know more as I find out.
This event offers an excellent opportunity for emergency
service professionals and volunteers and groups to provide
needed services to a beneficial event as well as utilize
there skills in many facets of emergency/disaster response.
Emergency Service agencies and volunteer organizations
are encouraged to participate. The Emergency Services
Unit (ESU) operates under the Standardized Emergency Management
System (SEMS) and utilizes the Incident Command System
(ICS). The ESU may work in close affiliation with local
and state government agencies as needed. Some formal SEMS/ICS
training may be provided as needed.
If you are a member public safety agency, emergency services
volunteer group, or similar organization, then you have
the skills we need. Members of Law Enforcement, Fire/Medical
Service, Communications, Emergency Medical Services, and
Amateur Radio make up the greatest number of volunteers.
Areas of assignment include Command, Operations, Logistics,
Safety and Security, Medical, Communications, Situation
Status, administrative support and where required, Aircraft
Operations. A brief description of the jobs is included
below.
Your assistance is needed at various times. |
