Location - Start & Finish:
CarrAmerica
4400 Rosewood Dr.
Pleasanton, CA

MapQuest Directions From Your Location

Course Lengths:
10-mile, 25-mile, 50-mile & 75-mile routes
Volunteer Start times:
Motors should be ready to be on the course by 7:00 AM
Volunteer Finish Times:
Finish times are approximate for each site depending on the speed of the cyclists. Please confirm with net control that all cyclists have passed your location prior to closing down.
Course Maps:
This year's routes are NOT exactly the same as last year. I am waiting on the MS society to send me hard copies of the courses, however we don't expect them in time to get them posted, but if they arrive soon, they will get posted.

Right now we are planning one handing them out Saturday morning during check-in.

Net Control:
Net Control is going to be located someplace in the parking lot. Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club is handling the Net Control duties and they have chosen 147.06 + PL=100 as the frequency of choice.  Bike to bike simplex will be on 446.400 no PL  If anyone tries to jam our frequencies, please do not communicate with them, or let them know you hear them.  We will also use 441.325+/PL 100 Hz as an alternate frequency.

Some of the terrain on this route will make bike-to-bike simplex very difficult and suggestion to use the back-up repeater has been suggested because it has good course coverage.  Be sure to have that repeater programmed ahead of time as well.

Motor Signs :
Event Communication signs for your Motorcycle will be passed out when we meet. Please bring a roll of scotch tape, or whatever your choice is for attaching signs to your bikes. I will have 81/2x11 and 5x7 signs.
Ham Rosters:
I will provide a final and hard copy list of volunteers on the day of the event so you can have all of the call signs, designations and phone numbers available to you.
Safety Vest:
If you have the orange vests of your own please bring it. We, BA-MARC, only have a limited number. Can volunteers from the Southern California area bring a vest up with you?
Food:
A barbecue will be in progress from 10:00AM to 3:30 PM at The CarrAmerica start/finish and Stop E is a lunch stop.  All of you are invited to participate in the barbecue either before you go to your assigned location or after.
MARC Dinner:
I would be great if everyone could plan on going out to eat dinner after the event.  I will locate a place we can go to after the event and spend the evening chatting, relaxing and unwinding from day's riding. If you can't make the dinner, please let me know.
