Not all of the positions for our COMM team are filled, so we’ll need to be flexible with some of our support locations.  We are also accepting non-COMM/Ham volunteers to help us keep our parking area from becoming a nightmare. We don't know if we have enough people to cover all the needed assignments, so if know of any other hams who might spare any time on Sunday morning, please encourage them to come along.

EVENT Management:
Communications and problem resolutions for the all the course positions will be handled through Net Control.

Richard Tidd, KE6HNY, will handle local area communication and leadership.

Collin Lim, KD6YCV, is handling event Logistics.

COMM FREQUENCIES:
Primary Net Control frequency is 446.400 SIMPLEX and no PL.

Our backup for the main event frequency will be the Stanford repeater: 145.230 " - " PL = 100.00

Local area, Tunnel and Parking Control frequency is 147.575 SIMPLEX and no PL.

CHECK-IN Location:
All volunteers please check-in with at net control located in the ballpark area of El Camino park. We will be in the corner of the ballpark near the backstop. When you arrive we should have our green canopy and antenna up by 7:15 AM.  As soon as you let us know you are there, proceed to the event’s volunteer check-in table to let them know you arrived.  They will have you event T-shirt at this table.

VOLUNTEER PARKING:
There isn't much space to park in El Camino Park. Five of the places there will be reserved for the SAG vehicles needing to shuttle in and out of the park with course volunteers. If your vehicle isn't being used to support the event, please try and park it in the Red Cross parking lot near the end of the park or out on the course if that is where you’ll be assigned.  Go here for a map for the Red Cross parking.

FOOD:
People assigned away from the event start location should bring water and whatever snack they might want between meals with them.  Event management has assured me they will have plenty of food for volunteers coming in at the end of the event.

PHONE CONTACT:
During the event I'll have my Cell phone turned on. If by chance your radio fails, or if you don't have one, you can reach me on my Cell phone. Over the weekend I'll also have my cell phone with me during the boy Scout fundraiser where we are also helping on Saturday.
